Peta Broadhurst of Currumbin, is proof of the dramatic weight loss results that can be achieved after Lap-Banding surgery.
Peta, a mother of four, lost a staggering 48kg to achieve her goal weight following Lap-Band surgery in September 2002 and a program of sensible eating and daily walks. After trying "every diet going" and losing and gaining weight for most of her life, Peta turned to surgery to help her lose the weight and keep it off.
"I felt lost with no way out of the health trap I found myself in," said Peta. "I had tried countless diets but none of them worked for me because I couldn't keep the weight off. "I now want to experience and enjoy everything that life has to offer. I eat healthily, exercise and enjoy life."
